Silence and Speech: Women's Voices and the Living Tradition of the Church

Mary Catherine Hilkert, OP
Professor of Theology, University of Notre Dame

Nourish your spiritual life in this interactive conference experience for women. Dr. Hilkert will explore the vocation of women as missionary disciples called to preach the Gospel in every age and culture. That vocation includes a call to embrace contemplative silence as well as a call to resist the silencing of the truth. Drawing on the memory of faithful women who have been “speaking the truth in love” (Eph 4:15) since the time of the early church, participants will explore both dimensions of that vocation today.
