PASSING THE TORCH:
CONVERSATIONS ABOUT EVANGELIZATION ACROSS DOMINICAN GENERATIONS
Dominican Preaching Network
6 p.m., Wednesday, October 16 to noon, Saturday, October 19, 2019
Weber Retreat and Conference Center
1257 E. Siena Heights Dr., Adrian, Michigan 49221
The Dominican Preaching Network invites brothers and sisters in the United States and Canada to reflect on our evangelical mission as preachers in North America. Aware that different generations often look at realities and possibilities from different vantage points, this gathering will engage peer learning and intergenerational conversation to discover common hopes, emerging strategies, and opportunities for greater collaboration. All Dominicans are welcome!
Anthony Gittins, CSSp, from Catholic Theological Union will speak on “Evangelization in the Mission of Jesus and Our Mission as Church.” Ann Garrido from Aquinas Institute of Theology will facilitate.
The Dominican Preaching Network is a global collaboration of Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, the Institute of Preaching in Quezon City, and the Institute for Pastoral Homiletics in Dusseldorf. Since 2016, colloquia have been held in St. Louis, Manila, and Cologne, and a global preaching colloquium on “The Dominican Encounter with the City” will happen in Manila in October 2020. This year’s colloquium has been planned by Megan McElroy, OP, Sara Fairbanks, OP, and Gregory Heille, OP.
Questions may be addressed to Gregory Heille, OP, email@example.com , 314-256-8881.
