Introducing Nicholas Lombardo, OP, PhD
Nicholas Lombardo, OP, is Ordinary Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology at The Catholic University of America. He received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2010 and then went to Catholic University in the fall of 2011. He spent some time as a visiting fellow at the University of Fribourg (2010-11) and Durham University (2014), and he has taught as a visiting professor at Peking University (2016-7) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2019).
He is the author of The Logic of Desire: Aquinas on Emotion (Catholic University of America Press, 2011) and The Father's Will: Christ's Crucifixion and the Goodness of God (Oxford University Press, 2013). He has also published on topics such as the inspiration of scripture, the Trinity, nature and grace, original sin, and evolution and human origins.
