Ezra Doyle

(Bryson) Ezra Doyle is the coordinator for the Center for Community Engagement and Evangelization.

He is primarily responsible for course development for the Center, and he will oversee day-to-day operations as well.

He joined Aquinas late this summer, having recently graduated from Villanova University in Philadelphia with Master of Arts in Theology. Ezra has a Bachelor's in Sociology and Religious Studies from Saint Xavier University in Chicago and has focused much of his research on religious belonging as it relates to praxis, which refers to applying the principles and ethics drawn from religion to everyday life. Theologically Ezra has a deep interest in spirituality and mysticism with a particular focus on theosis, divine love and mystery. More practically, he is fascinated by finding ways to use these concepts to create a community of consciousness, contemplation and solidarity.

Professionally Ezra has spent time as a social worker trying to meet the needs of children and families facing housing insecurities. Additionally, he has worked in a number of management positions as well as various ministerial roles. Ezra likewise has a history with offering spiritual direction, volunteer mentorship with at risk/LGBTQ youth and general community engagement.
