The graduate assistant will assist Dr. Clem in his work related to academia as well as his work as professor.

Hours: 15/week
Reporting to: Dr. Stewart Clem, Assistant Professor of Moral Theology
Faculty area of scholarship/research: moral theology, Thomas Aquinas, Scripture and ethics

Description:
The graduate assistant will assist Dr. Clem in his work related to academia as well as his work as
professor .

Duties:

  • Perform academic research
  • Create and organize bibliographies and edited manuscripts
  • Review and edit manuscripts in preparation for submission/publication
  • Scan books/articles and delivering library holds
  • Assist with work related to grant applications and conference proposals
  • Assist with organizing conferences panels, symposia, etc.

  • Use critical thinking to solve problems
  • Gain the ability to see connections between work and academics

Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge and interest in theological research
  • Experience with various software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, presentation, administrative, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and structure/plan own time in relation to research tasks
  • Ability to work well with faculty and staff
