The graduate assistant will assist Dr. Clem with responsibilities related to the Ashley-O'Rourke Center and the Health Care Mission programs offered by Aquinas Institute.

Administrative Assistant- Dr. Stewart Clem, Director, Ashley-O’Rourke Center

Hours: 10/week
Reporting to: Dr. Stewart Clem, Director, Ashley-O’Rourke Center for Health Ministry Leadership
Faculty area of scholarship/research: health care ethics, Catholic social teaching
Description:
The graduate assistant will assist Dr. Clem with responsibilities related to the AOR Center and the Health Care Mission programs offered by Aquinas Institute
Duties:
  • Assist with writing and updating program materials (program requirements descriptions, course sequences, course details, etc.) on the website and in print media
  • Work frequently with Admissions and Marketing/Communications offices to make sure that AOR is being promoted and that content is user-friendly and up-to-date
  • Assist instructors in the online HCM Graduate Certificate program (help setting up course sites, uploading documents, scanning book chapters, etc.)
  • Communicate with current students about upcoming deadlines and important information
  • Attend monthly online info sessions for prospective students

Qualifications: 
  • Strong organizational, presentation, administrative, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to collaborate with other staff and faculty
  • Experience with various software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to learn new platforms (Populi, FinalSite, etc.) used by AOR Center
  • Ability to work independently and structure/plan own time in relation to administrative tasks
