For Sr. Kathleen McManus, O.P., the underlying hunger of all humanity is the longing to find meaning in the depths of suffering. Inspired by the work of Dominican theologian Edward Schillebeeckx, she engages theology particularly in the suffering of women - both locally within the institutional Church and globally among those suffering in poverty - forming them to become leadersin the Church and the world.
