Mercy Mission Integration Department. This is the system (ministry) office for Mercy Health. This will be an ministry site that will focus on what is Mission Leadership.
Ministry includes facilitating leadership formation, assisting with co-worker rounds, research, project management, facilitating mission meetings and processes, shadowing mission leaders in the region, rounding with co-workers and leaders and implementing processes and projects.
*The student needs to be comfortable in a health care environment.
*Will need to complete Student Volunteer information application
*Will need to complete Mandatory patient safety information (via read and sign)
*Will need to complete a Mercy Corporate Health medical screening (paid by Mercy).
Generally days, however there are options for nights and weekends if necessary; this is at the student’s discretion.

Supervisory approach of Jared Bryson: I make myself available if there are questions. My main approach is to give the overarching goal and let you implement how you see best to accomplish the goal. My work is to assist in removing barriers to the accomplishment of the goals. I value theological reflection time not only as a designated time, but also are part of the process of management.
Supervisor biographical statement:
Husband to Emily and father of Three children, Augustine, Lillian and William. An Oblate of St. Benedict of St. Meinrad Archabbey, Dr. Bryson holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois, a Master of Divinity from Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis and a Doctorate in Christian Spirituality from Washington Theological Union, Washington, DC. He has served the past twenty years in retreat, parish, diocesan, Catholic higher education, seminary, health care, spiritual direction and formation ministries. He currently serves as a Vice-President, Mission & Church Relations for Mercy based in St. Louis, Missouri.
