• Travel to Aquinas Institute of Theology for the Summer Break series “Exploring the Catholic Faith.
This four day excursion will be guided by a bestselling author, Fr. Oscar Lukefahr, C.M., from the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, MO.

Vacationers will tour the Catholic basics with scheduled stops at:

We Believe: A survey of the Catholic Faith using the Catechism of the Catholic Church June 21
We Pray: Living in God’s Presence June 22
We Worship: A Guide to the Catholic Mass June 23
We Honor: Mary – Christ’s Mother and Ours June 24

• What would a trip be without good food? Come satisfy your stomach and your soul at “Bake and Be Blessed Yet Again.

Father Dominic Garramone, O.S.B., host of the former PBS cooking show, Breaking Bread with Father Dominic, returns to Aquinas Institute for a second summer to share tips, tricks and prayerful insights about the art of bread-making. Each session will include “hands-in” time and a chance to sample the fruits of a happy baker’s labor.

Diabetic Self-Care as a Spiritual Discipline: Learn how to find the spiritual meaning in the everyday activities of diabetic self-care, including exercise, diet and meal preparation, along with some yummy diabetic-friendly breads. June 7
Saints in Your Cookie Jar: Teaching virtues and values is an important part of family life. Find out how to bake up a sweet lesson based on the lives of saints. June 8
Pretzel Prayers: Add a twist to your daily prayer with some new ideas, and learn the culinary and religious history behind pretzels. June 9
Slow Rising Crust: A really good pizza crust takes time; so does developing your prayer life! Sample one while learning about the other! June 10
Cooking with Kids: The kitchen is a spiritual classroom! Bring along a child, grandchild, niece, or nephew and get a little cooking and catechesis. This is fun for all ages. June 11
