Job Title: Campus Ministry: Fontbonne University Campus Ministry
Location: St. Louis
State: Missouri
Position Description:

6800 Wydown Blvd.
St. Louis, MO 63105

The Office of Campus Ministry at Fontbonne University serves the spiritual needs of the entire campus community, giving special attention to the student body. We approach ministry through our catholic lens and honor the Catholic heritage and traditions on which the institution was established. Fontbonne is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, a religious order of women dedicated to serving the dear Neighbor without distinction. We are a program marked by both/ands. We organize weekly Eucharistic liturgies and offer interfaith programming. We draw community members deeper into their relationship with Christ through retreats and small group programming. We also support community members who have different faith backgrounds and traditions. Fontbonne is primarily a commuter campus, which brings about a set of challenges to ministry. Above all, we strive to be a relational ministry, focusing on meeting students, faculty, and staff where they are.

*Previous experience leading small groups preferred.
*If not Catholic, an openness to learning about Catholic traditions.
*Willingness to do intern hours in the evening.
*Each intern is required to have the Missouri criminal background screening completed with the results received before the semester begins.
*Illinois residents must also have the Illinois criminal background screening completed with the results received prior to the start of the semester.

Hours and days are fairly flexible. Some hours include:
*6:00 - 8:30 p.m. - Sundays, Weekly Liturgy.
*11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Fridays, Weekday Liturgy.
*Small faith sharing groups—meet one evening each week. Day of the week is determined by the availability of the students.

Supervisor's Bio/Additional Comments:
Sarah Boul is the Director of Campus Ministry at Fontbonne University. She is a practicing Catholic, yet has a deep affection and appreciation for ecumenical and evangelical work. She works in ministry because she desires to help others develop and deepen their relationship with God. She completed her Masters in Pastoral Studies at Aquinas Institute of Theology in May 2009 and married her husband Dave the following September.

Sarah would like to serve as a resource, as encouragement, and as a theological reflection partner for a ministry intern. She expects a ministry intern to share his/her plans with her, ask for help as needed, and respect any cautions or criticisms she may offer. A ministry intern should expect from Sarah Boul an eagerness to share ministry and to provide a quality learning and training environment in Campus Ministry. The first pastoral care she must offer is to those she partners with in ministry-her student interns and AI ministry interns.
