Doctor of Ministry in Preaching

Program Overview

Aquinas Institute of Theology’s Doctor of Ministry in Preaching (DMin) assists skilled preachers wishing to pursue advanced professional formation as leaders in a wide range of Gospel ministries in the United States and around the world.

The DMin Cohort is a diverse learning community of experienced ministers committed to attaining the highest standards of congregational preaching, homiletical instruction, and Gospel evangelization and catechesis.

From its inception in 1993 as the only Catholic doctoral program in preaching, this program has remained unique. Students participate as a cohort in a wisdom community of ministerial peers serving in full-time ministry and taking doctoral courses organized around the discipline of homiletics rather than a loosely organized set of add-on master’s courses.
