(St. Louis) Sr. Catherine Vincie, R.S.H.M., Professor of Liturgical and Sacramental Theology at Aquinas Institute of Theology, will be the featured speaker at the third annual Newman Convocation at Saint Louis University on Thursday, October 11, 2012. This year’s convocation, presided over by St. Louis’ Archbishop Robert Carlson, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council, and the theme is Opening the Council: Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy – Telling the Story. Responding to Catherine Vincie’s presentation will be Daniel Finucane, Ph.D., of Saint Louis University, and Fr. Jason Schumer, S.T.L., of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.

The convocation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at 7:00 pm, at St. Francis Xavier (College) Church, on the campus of Saint Louis University, 3628 Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63108. For more information, call 314.977.2878.
