(ST. LOUIS) Father Charles Bouchard, O.P, Prior Provincial of the Dominican province of St. Albert the Great., has announced that he has asked Father Richard Peddicord, O.P., current President of Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, to assume the presidency of Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois.

Fenwick High School, a college preparatory school, is a ministry of the Dominican Province of St. Albert the Great with approximately 1200 students. The school began its mission in 1929. By assuming the presidency, Fr. Peddicord will continue the school’s distinctive Catholic Dominican identity and tradition of academic excellence.

Father Peddicord, who has been President of Aquinas Institute of Theology since 2008 and Professor of Moral Theology there since 1994, will step into his new responsibilities at Fenwick sometime between July 1 and August 1, 2012. Father Bouchard notes that the Dominican Province and Aquinas Institute’s Board of Trustees remain dedicated to the importance of Aquinas as a Dominican apostolate, and have already begun a careful search for a new president.
Aquinas Institute of Theology is a St. Louis-based Roman Catholic graduate school of theology and ministry sponsored by the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). Offering both residential and on-line degree programs, Aquinas Institute of Theology is the only Catholic institution in the world to offer a Doctor of Ministry degree in preaching.
