Aquinas Institute of Theology Presents

"Backpacking with the Saints – Nature Wandering as Spiritual Practice”

for Its Theology for Life Spring Series Opener

(St. Louis, Missouri) – Professor Belden Lane of St. Louis University will utilize years of hiking experience to suggest a pattern of wilderness spirituality that can be lived every day, during his initial presentation at Aquinas Institute of Theology’s Theology for Life – Spring 2014 series.

The first of the series, “Backpacking with the Saints – Nature Wandering as Spiritual Practice” will take place from 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Aquinas Institute – 23 South Spring Avenue – St. Louis, MO 63108.

Additional Theology for Life – Spring 2014 presentations will be held at Aquinas Institute in the same time slot, and include:

• “The Importance of Traveling Light with Dag Hammarskjold” on March 4th
• “The Practice of Mindfulness with Thich Nhat Hanh” on March 11th
• “Failure and Forgiveness with Martin Luther” on March 18th
• “The Celebration of Holy Folly with Thomas Merton” on March 25th.

"This series aims at taking us through the letting go, the paying of attention, the acceptance of grace, and the anticipation of joy that the season of Lent invites," explains Lane.
