Aquinas faculty and staff took part in an interactive on-line session with participants in a one-of-a-kind certificate program in theological/spiritual formation offered by Aquinas Institute for mission leaders from CHE/Trinity Health. The program was developed in light of the important role mission leaders have as “front line translators” of the theological tradition that grounds the healing ministry of Jesus.
Designed originally for CHE/Trinity participants, the program will be offered to a second cohort of new mission leaders set to begin in March 2015.
"It is critically important that mission leaders are able to operationalize and infuse the values and commitments of the Catholic tradition into every aspect of Catholic health care," said Sr. Jean deBlois, CSJ, Ph.D., Professor, Moral Theology and Director, MA in Health Care Mission. "This program’s goal is to help them do that, and do it effectively".
