Dear Aquinas Institute of Theology Family,
Easter is the greatest love story ever told! Jesus Christ brings us out of Lent and into eternal life because He is eternal love itself.
May the prayers, rituals, songs and gatherings, both Church and family, of the Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter) be a constant reminder that this is God's love story and promise for each of us.
Deceased scripture scholar, Fr. Carroll Stuhlmueller, C.P., described Easter this way:
"Easter declares that great reversals are not only possible.
They actually happen...
We need only to believe.
God, who loves even more than we are capable of loving, cannot endure it any longer!
Jesus must rise from the dead -
And so we celebrate that love with others.
"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." - ROM. 8:38-39
A blessed Triduum and Happy Easter to all!
Rev. David G. Caron, O.P.
