(April 20, 1953 - March 27, 2014)
Fr. Michael Kyte, O.P., a Dominican friar from the Province of St. Albert the Great, passed away Thursday morning. Fr. Kyte was friend of Aquinas Institute of Theology and was currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees.
"Fr. Kyte was a preacher of God's grace in the very fiber of his being. He was faithful to the Order of Preachers and to Aquinas Institute's mission. His insight, his laughter and his holiness will be missed. The Aquinas Institute of Theology community sends our sympathy to Fr. Kyte's Dominican brothers and to his family," said Fr. David G. Caron, O.P., Aquinas Institute President.
The Chair of the Board of Trustees, Marie Bone, remembers Fr. Kyte in the following way: "Fr. Michael was such a lovely man and so particularly kind to me when I joined the board. Everyone who knew him must feel this loss deeply, but also be mindful of our newest advocate at the Throne of Grace".
"May he rest in a well deserved peace with our compassionate God. We will keep all and our dear brother in prayer these days," said Fr. Harry Byrne, O.P., Aquinas Institute faculty member.
