The Inauguration of The Reverend David G. Caron, O.P., as the Eighth President of Aquinas Institute of Theology

Rev. David G. Caron, O.P., was inaugurated as the eighth president of Aquinas Institute of Theology in a ceremony on April 14, 2013. The inauguration was held at St. Pius V Catholic Church in St. Louis.

The events of Fr. Caron’s inauguration took place over the weekend of April 13-14, 2013, and were planned to correspond to the four pillars of Dominican Spirituality: Preaching/Ministry, Prayer, Study, and Community. The weekend began with a ministry project, with members of the Aquinas Institute community volunteering on Saturday, April 13, at Operation Food Search. The community gathered in prayer on Saturday evning at a Eucharistic Liturgy of Thanksgiving. The inaugural ceremony itself represented the study component, at which the keynote address was delivered by Sr. Barbara Reid, O.P., Academic Dean of Catholic Theological Union and a respected scriptural scholar. Following the inaugural ceremony on Sunday afternoon, a reception offered Fr. Caron to celebrate with Aquinas students, faculty, alumni, board members, family, and friends.
